@nomadikh: I found a gem by Yukari Ito — a Japanese singer and actress active since the 1950s, known for helping introduce Western pop, jazz, and chanson influences into Japan’s music scene. She became one of the defining voices of post-war Japanese pop with a smooth vocal style that blended traditional Japanese music with international sounds. The groove of her music was dope so I flipped it into a hip hop beat. Some of my influences are J Dilla, MF Doom, Madlib, 9th Wonder and Knxwledge to name a few. #hiphop
