No one hires consultants for advice. They hire them because the external person attached to the consultancy brand can tell C suite & board to do the thing the person already wants to do. An AI tool telling you to do xyz doesn’t address the real reason consultants are hired

It’s a yes! :
Consultant here 🤷♀️but a small business focusing on implementation and adoption of AI, i.e. processes within my area of expertise. I will survive for a while this way, then happily retire (as planned years ago).

I hate to see people lose their jobs but let me tell you I was qualified but it displaced worker because I took a sabbatical to take care of my mother as an only child with Alzheimer's and I applied at these various consulting firms only to be denied so all of that said how many qualified candidates were ostracized what goes around comes around

Software firms sending engineers with no business or industry specific knowledge to try and solve business problems is why there is a consulting market. It’s cool idea but I feel like most engineers would hate this 😂

A company I work for just became the first Claude partner today and we are getting access to all their certifications. Not every company will be able to pay for those big ai companies to come in, so big market for those associating themselves as implementation partners who can charge a fraction of the price

As long as AI does not hallucinate! Somebody has to still feed the AI the truth! We, consultants have expertise, hence we verify what AI gives as an information and we decide which decision to go!
