I get very snippy about the fact she's just classed as the 'divorced' one. My kids know she's the true survivor. She got huge amounts of money. land and status in the divorce. She watched both Edward and Mary crowned and was still seen as part of the family. Definitely dodge the worst of what happened to the two others.

I think it's terribly sad that Anne was never able to remarry, she truly was the luckiest of the wives. She was able to be her own boss and run her homes as she wished. From what I understand Henry did take care of her financially and she didn't have to put up with him all the time.

I’ve always liked to believe she was being coy with her ladies, but hadn’t known that it was used to support the claim the marriage wasn’t consummated. That definitely puts it in a different light. Thank you so much - it’s a treat to get these illuminating bits of information!
