Missoula isn't the as nice as it used be

I can find the beauty in Missoula still it’s just not the same as it once was once upon a time like who else recalls driving through town and seeing three or four big inner tubes on the top of cars in the winter or big piles of snow in the lane making it a one-way on both sides who remembers the time when hooky bobbing was a thing who even still remembers the word for the term what it means and no surfing in the river was not always a thing we used to have ice jams and Lodge jams they had to build that wave it was not always there… Who remembers big wide open spaces and fields who remembers when third Street stopped reserve straight from going all the way out to the Interstate who remembers the time of a much smaller and different time in Missoula than this? Yeah I miss the old days. There has been so much overgrowth and ruining of the town that it’s hard to find the beauty here, but it still exist because some things are unchangeable, however, when you go back to a place for nostalgic reasons to visit a childhood memory to find that it has been ripped out, destroyed paved over and built upon. That’s a devastating moment. Wait till it happens to you and then you will understand what I mean you too will have one of those days. 🫶🫶🫶
