I’m not celiac but on a gluten free diet because of my autoimmune disease. For me I try to avoid it as much as I can and I’m aware that cross contamination is common. I usually try to look up the menu beforehand so I know what my options are and if they can substitute or not included it so it’s not a waste of food.

I have a shellfish allergy that’s why I choose a restaurant that doesn’t serve shellfish (it’s much easier that way for me Persionally either that or I let them know well in advance. I’m aware it isn’t that easy for celiac people)

As someone who has a life-threatening food allergy…I appreciate you being so upfront. If a place can’t accommodate my allergy (or I don’t think they can)…that’s fine but PLEASE tell me upfront!
