Allah is adh-Dhaahir — the Manifest, the Apparent, the Evident. But how can Allah be manifest when we cannot see Him in this life? We hear people say: “I don't believe in God because I can't see Him.” “If God exists, why doesn't He just show Himself?” Imagine walking through a forest after a traveler has passed through. You never saw the person, but you find footprints in the mud, broken branches, and a recently extinguished campfire. Would anyone reasonably say: “I didn't see the traveler, therefore nobody was here”? Of course not. The traces point unmistakably to the one who left them. Likewise, although Allah is veiled from our sight in this life, the traces and effects of His existence, power, knowledge, and wisdom surround us everywhere. Look at the heavens. Look at the earth. Look at the precision of creation. Look at life itself. Look within your own body. Every creation and every phenomenon bears witness to its Creator. The universe is a vast collection of signs that do not merely draw attention to themselves — they point beyond themselves to the One who created them. Allah says: سَنُرِيهِمْ ءَايَٰتِنَا فِى ٱلْـَٔافَاقِ وَفِىٓ أَنفُسِهِمْ حَتَّىٰ يَتَبَيَّنَ لَهُمْ أَنَّهُ ٱلْحَقُّ “We will show them Our signs in the universe and within themselves until it becomes clear to them that it is the truth.” [Surah Fussilat 41:53] This is from the beauty of Allah being adh-Dhaahir. Although He is unseen by us in this life, He has surrounded us with signs pointing to Him. So wherever you look at creation with a sincere and contemplative heart… you find signs pointing you back to the Creator. #AdhDhaahir #KnowingAllah #SignsOfAllah #99NamesOfAllah #Tawheed
