My SIL excluded me as a power trip. I now exclude myself. 10 years now. She’s reached out to me “get together” I flat out say no. If I see her it’s too soon. My kids don’t know her, I don’t even think of her. But I’m so proud of myself that I put up that boundary and took charge of my life instead of being the people pleaser.

they tried to exclude, bully and mock. I stayed excluded with my boundaries up. didn't chase, created my own space and I was happy alone. one by one they tried to start being nice but it still kept my boundaries

This quote of "when people exclude you, stay excluded" has been so healing for me lately. When the exclusion is loud & intentional - yeah, I'm not giving third & fourth chances anymore. Show me who you are & I WILL believe it.
