@doctor.painkiller: Migraine Trigger Foods: Rated 0–10. Not every migraine trigger is guilty. Migraine triggers are personal, inconsistent, and often cumulative. Which one is YOUR worst trigger? #migraine #migrainerelief #rating #brainhealth
as someone with an almost immediate aspertame reaction I don't understand the conflicting evidence

I absolutely appreciate the validation about MSG. Way too many people try to tell me MSG doesn’t cause migraines, as if they know my body.

Your account reinforces that I am not crazy about I believe trigger my migraines. Aspartame can completely take me out. MSG is another one for me. People don't realize that it's levels I can have a little bit of them but slightly too much and I'm down for the count. Same with cinnamon.

Are you telling me I’m having caffeine withdrawal migraines? My GP told me to cut caffeine out to see if it’s triggering my acid reflux and my acid reflux is nonexistent now but the migraine is the worst thing I’ve ever experienced

Can you explain what you mean about MSG and being an isolated trigger? MSG is like the only trigger I know for sure that takes me out the next day.

I can have aspartame no problem but sucralose will get me in under 10 minutes - took me over a decade to figure that one out!

The guy doesn’t know. For example there is a unsettled debate about chocolate being a trigger or a symptom.

Ok but my migraine medication decreases my appetite so I accidentally skip meals. Catch 22 there. I’m bringing it up at my follow up appointment though!

When I heard the research about chocolate it was so validating. I knew all along it was a prodrome craving but no one believed me.

I know when I am due for a bad, bad migraine when I crave chocolate. As the cravings increase the migraine is imminent.
