so much of Nevada is very rural and desolate. Just make sure you have plenty of water with you. There are giant counties with only 1500/2000 people. also, wildlife preservation is a big priority. Recently, I went to a meeting about the golden eagle flight paths and how we preserve those. There are teams of people that hike into the mountains and build watering places for the wildlife.

omg that's my flier!!!! I'm a PhD student studying human-wildlife (obvi, mountain lions specifically!) interactions. There isn't an alarming population increase, just chatting with people and how they successfully coexist with lions because there is a healthy population. I'll have a couple papers about in a few years when I'm done :p
