Normally I agree with you but not here. It's good for the see to see that their parents get along and still treat each other with respect. I wouldn't even call it a date, it's a mother's day gift and he can still appreciate the fact the she is the mother of his children.

It’s important for a child to know and witness their parents being civil and respectful towards each other so they don’t feel like they have to choose between their parents if they’re separated.

I don't see anything wrong with it, and I'm a woman like that's his kids mother and he has right to spend time with his kids and if their kids want to go with their mother then you and him can do something later just for you guys but maybe that just my point of view

No it’s 1000% appropriate. I’d rather see them get along INFRONT of the child & FOR the child. If we not ment to be & he wants to be back with her OH WELL. It’s a whole lot to to unpack with this. But no I agree yes it’s a great thing in my book.

It absolutely is appropriate that is the mother of his children, and that says he still has respect for her, especially in front of his kids. The only reason you would have a problem with that is if you thought something was gonna happen between them.

Hahahah as a mom who is friends with my kids dad he showed up and cooked dinner with the kids while my husband and I sat there. His wife would come over during my chemo treatments to help my husband. I was sick for years and couldn’t do anything but I had a mini army there for me and my kids.

My exes current wife wasn't bothered by me going out to eat with him and our child. I'm friends with her and she knows there is 0 chance of me ever wanting him back. We have a weird family situation where all of us spends holidays and outings together so we can all benefit with being around the kids. I spent last X Mas with the step mom, my daughter's sisters mom, the dad, kids, and various family members. It was great!

It depends on the relationship. My kids dad still helps me out here or there. Will watch my dogs etc if I go away. Will drive me somewhere to pick something up if my bf isnt able to. He's bought me and my child lunch if he ran us for an errand. I cant judge. It just really depends. Many families intermingle and stay friends. Sometimes the significant others are also friends and co parent with each other. No one gets to decide what is appropriate or not. You can decide what you are comfortable with. And if youre not OK with this then you don't have to stay.

well as my baby daddy is my best friend. we still talk laugh n hang out all the time....we are just better friends than anything else...he wanted to take me out for mother's day...i thanked him but refused, my ailments wouldn't let me...
