my Mom invested META at $40,000 @$40 a share back in 2012, let it ride to $250,000 in 2021, completely exit at $250 a share,, in 2021 she invested $22,000 in NVDA at $5.50 a share (adjust for splits) so $900,000 on 2026-05-20

I get what you are saying, I've done it too, but doubling down on some stocks seems crazy, like Intel for instance, it's just begging to crash hard right now, I've been putting my 500% gains in my pocket, but I'll let half of it run

Bought pltr 50k at 14 sold at 174. Took that 600k bought UNH at 247. Will now sell UNH and put that million back into pltr this week at 137. If I hadn't sold pltr that dollar amount wouldn't be a million. It would be around 400k.

Timing is extremely important. I have convictions in some stocks but they’re very high right now. Buying in late 2022 or right after the “liberation day” was perfect and easy to pick up some great stocks at a panicking point when they were cheaper! Not those let them run for sure but gotta cash out some at some point too when they’re way overvalued!

Unfortunately I hear a formula for very concentrated risk profile. That money you didn’t put in Amazon probably went to smart other places. Then you’re more secure overall.
