As someone from Spain, I think you described it super well! Its just not possible to eat dinner at 6pm because we are doing our extracurriculars at school until later. I personally never did anything past 7pm, so I could be sleeping easily at 9pm. And as you said, seeing kids that late in restaurants and in the streets is mainly in summer vacation and/or some fridays or saturdat nights, so the day after they don't have to wake up early at all. I think it also helps that most kids go to school in a 15-20min trip from home (either walking or by car). And since primary school starts at 9am (usually secondary school starts a bit earlier, either at 8 or 8:30) its fairly easy to wake up at 7:30am or even later and be just fine. So at the end, kids end sleeping their 8-10 hours a night without any problem! Just everything in life is a little later than in other countries.

How many meal breaks do the kiddos get? I am an American teacher and I am starving after school. My kids and I eat when we get home around 4:30 ish and the have a snack or so at like 8. It just works for us. How are the meals snacks in Spain planned out
