Umm... Idk what to say... So if you forgot how to multiply or divide fractions... Here is what I know.. When you are multiplying fractions, it is straight across!! So for example, 2/3 and 3/4, multiply the denominator (bottom number) by the OTHER denominator, in this case it would be 12, then you take the numerator (top number) and multitply it by the other number, which is this case would be 6. So the answer is 6/12, BUT it will mos likely tell you to simplify (aka put it to it's smallest form) which I'd divide it by 6, so 6 ➗ 6 is 1, and 12 ➗ 6 is 2, therefore the simplest form would be 1/2. Now, we move onto DIVIDING fractions, which is harder but it's still quite easy. You get your numbers, and you have something called KCF/KCR, and the k stands for keep, c for change, and F/R for flip/reciprocal. This will make more sense in a minute. You would keep the first fraction, change the sign into a multiplication sign, and then flip the order the numbers are in on the fraction, this is called the reciprocal. (For example, 1/2 would be 2/1 after.), then you multiply it across, then you simplify it. Let's do a example! 3/5 ➗ 2/4. We would do KCF! So we keep the first fraction, 3/5, we change the sign, ➗ into a X, and we use the reciprocal of 2/4, which is 4/2. Now you have a multiplication problem, 3/5 X 4/2. So we would multiply them across, 3 X 4 = 12, 5 X 2 = 10, so you're answer for that would be 12/10. Now we simplify. 12 can go into 10 once, so that would leave us with 2/10, which we can divide by two. 2 ➗ 2 = 1, 10 ➗ 2 = 5, so the answer would be 1 1/5. Congrats for making it to the end!! Good luck next year, have fun this year, have an amazing summer, never give up, byee!!
