The turn coordinator is electrically powered for redundancy. Imagine you’re flying in hard IMC and your Vacuum pump goes kaput, You’re now blind, but the TC being electrically powered lets you know if you are wings level getting rid of the need for your artificial horizon. Using that with your speed to see if you are climbing or descending at a given power setting, that mix of ASI and TC with the compass, removes the need for your vacuum powered instruments, although not very comfortable
