Three locations to clean in order. One press Windows plus R, type prefetch, press Enter, click Continue, press Ctrl plus A, delete everything. Two press Windows plus R, type percent temp percent, press Enter, press Ctrl plus A, delete everything, skip any files showing in use errors. Three press Windows key, type Disk Cleanup, right click and run as administrator, select C drive, check every box, click Clean Up System Files for a deeper clean. Restart your PC after all three. Do this every few months to keep your system running clean.

May be wrong but this is the cache windows keeps to make your apps run smooth, deleting this makes pretty much every program lag for 2 minutes each but then it fixes, for heavier game it may take longer but prefetch doesnt usually take gigs of space so I dont really recommend it considering it overall damages your performance but its a fraction of a frame probably every 5k files so
