My grandmother has dementia and every time I see her I just get so emotional because I think about the woman I spent time with. I know she’s still in there and there are times when she finally realizes it’s me and it just breaks my heart. Having Alzheimer’s or dementia is one of my biggest fears in my life because it runs on my mothers side and is the reason why I stimulate my mind by reading, writing, working out, finding new hobbies as well as working out my body. It’s so sad what it does to the human brain and body. I wish there was a cure!

This is so beautiful and so important 🤍 after losing my grandma two months ago from dementia, this really touched my heart. The love, patience, and care you show her is something so special !…This is the same type of relationship I had with my grandma & I wouldn’t trade it for the world. Ughh 😭❤️I’ve lost my entire family already and I’m only 35. The beautiful joys of being able to watch your loved ones get old. But having to deal with the sickness & things like this and watching your loved ones suffer on the hard days 😭😭😭 you are doing so incredible. I love this so much 😭😭❤️
