Oooh yeah, from one artist to another, brand names are your friend when it comes to traditional art. prismacolor for color pencils, copics for markers, faber-castell are very good pencils too.

from one artist to another don't skip on quality items yes it may take you a lot longer to build up your art kit what is better to wait and know what you're using then not know what you're using yes is good to learn with the cheap items or once you know what you're doing splurge on the good quality items over time

I enjoy the cretacolor monolith, the whole thing is graphite so you can go pointy or wide depending on how you lean the pencil.

HIIIGHLY recommend trying out the Mitsubishi Hi-Uni pencils! (Specifically the “Hi-uni” and NOT the “uni”, big difference) They were life changing to me! I used Faber castell and Rembrandt before that, but they were very hard compared to the Mitsubishi ones imo

Professional artist here, faber castel is my favorite brand. Not cheap but worth the money. Stick with the stadler for class though!

till this day the 4€ ten piece set from action were the best I ever had. close 2nd are 1€ mechanical from the dollar store. you can get quite lucky with the cheap ones too
