@jobswmel: If you’re waiting for your work to magically speak for itself, your promotion is probably going to take way longer than you think. One of the biggest career mistakes people make is assuming good work automatically gets rewarded. It doesn’t. You have to learn how to advocate for yourself. Here are 4 things you can say when asking for a raise: “Based on the responsibilities I’ve taken on and the results I’ve delivered, I’d love to discuss adjusting my compensation to reflect that.” → Talk about impact, not how “hard” you work. “Over the last few months, I’ve taken ownership of X, Y, and Z, which helped achieve [result]. I’d like to revisit my salary based on that growth.” → Make it specific and measurable. “What would I need to accomplish over the next 3–6 months to be considered for a raise?” → If the answer is no, turn it into a roadmap. “I’m excited to keep growing here and contributing at a higher level. I’d love for my compensation to grow alongside that.” → Ambition sounds better than frustration. You’re not asking for a favor. You’re asking to be paid in alignment with the value you bring. And while corporate is processing your raise request, ask them for deel anytime pay so you don’t have to wait for payday. #relatable #office #worklife #wfh #corporatelife
