House cleaner here- skirted toilets, exterior doors with blinds built in, (if there is a window option for blinds built in- do it, no sliding glass doors, baseboards in a bathroom need to be NOT WOOD, for showers/bathtubs-make sure the material of the walls is on the ceiling, use silicone in bathrooms- not caulk, shower wall material or take the flooring all the way up behind the toilet, canned lights that are flush, ceiling fans that have a wide base that has the least amount of grooves to attract dust, cleaning closet with outlets and shelves, simple baseboard, semi gloss wall paint for easier cleaning- don’t do eggshell, all cabinets to the ceiling (if you want decor above cabinets- put glass cupboards), don’t paint cabinets, bathroom flooring- don’t do tile(grout sucks to clean), bathroom and kitchen finishes- don’t do black!, shower fixture needs to have a hose for cleaning, timers on bathrooom fans, don’t do open shelves anywhere, I prefer carpet on stairs, vacuuming is so much easier to use for any flooring personally- so we put office carpet in our back entry and it stays so much cleaner than our LVP, undermount sinks wherever you can, ***bathroom faucets/handles coming out of the wall- not counter, closets that have shoe shelves, keeping things OFF the ground makes things appear cleaner as well, pantries with outlets so you have no appliances on counters, no chandeliers, mud room sink is amazing, I hate central vacuums- however it is so nice when they have a vent to sweep all hair into for the bathrooms, backsplash all the way in the kitchen and up any walls with cabinets, **hooded vent make sure it vents OUTSIDE, and it goes straight up with the cabinets (if the hood curves in, SO much dust and nastiness settles- you want the hood to be square and have nothing for it to settle above or on top), over the fridge cabinet so dust doesn’t collect so much on fridge, handles on cabinets and drawers help keep them clean from grime, bathroom vents that vent outside help reduce moisture/mold, I don’t mind shower doors if you plan to clean them every time you use them- but a better alternative is to design the shower to not need a door
