The only thing you should “just wait” for is the feeling you get when you meet your baby for the first time. It’s more than love. You’re going to be in a euphoric state that you hope never ends. It’s the most amazing feeling in the world. You’re going to want to experience that feeling again and again. I can’t wait til you feel it for yourself. It’s truly unexplainable 🤍

There was a woman who I would regularly bump into while I walked my dog when I was pregnant. She had an infant in the stroller and she would repeatedly “warn” me about the newborn stage and how it was “the absolute worse stage”. I would smile politely but quietly was so discouraged by her words. Specifically because I was looking forward to that stage so much. Thankfully she was wrong because for me the newborn stage went so well it is still my favorite stage to date my son is now 6 years old.
