we live in a new society where everyone you date or have a interest in has atleast 5 backups or more, its alot of competition now with social media and easy access to talk and meet people. I'm from the 1990s grew up in that era, people valued connections more because it was really hard to get to know someone thus they valued the connection vs now you can instantly message anyone on social media you think is interesting
