retired wedding consultant...yes some do carry more than wedding gowns. i worked at a store that carried everyyyything for a wedding. i clusing accessories/supplies needed.

Gala dresses. Do not look for mother of the bride dresses as they tend to be more like grandmother of the bride dresses. Look for gala dresses if you want something interesting and less frumpy.

MacDuggal is your answer. Order through Nordstrom for easy returns and access for alterations. I’ve never been more complimented in my life. Fabric was so luxurious!

Even bridesmaid style dresses work. All of our local bridal stores have bride, bridesmaid, and MOG/MOB dresses. Do you have a David’s Bridal by you? They are a bigger company and have them. You can also check your local department stores.
