I had the opposite happen to me when I was 6 😂 I was a 5min walk from the school, just had to walk up the hill & i was basically home. we had a sub who was convinced I was lying about being a walker & she forced me onto a random bus. thankfully the bus driver knew I didn't belong & was kind enough to drop me off at the top of the hill

This happened to my daughter on her first day of school, Luckily she walked into a corner shop and the shop keeper found my number in her backpack. Police were involved to speak with the teacher

Back in 1979, they had me ride one bus to the high school, get off, wait with high schoolers and get on another bus to take me home. I forgot to get off and then got too scared to tell anyone until the bus driver realized. He finished his route and used the CB to call someone to help figure out who my parents were and how to call them

My 1st day of 5 grade, was at a new school, first time being a walker, I followed some of the kids I met that day thinking they was going where I was going. They were going the same way but in a neighborhood across the street. My little brother’s father found me and drove me home. I thought I was never gonna make it home.

I walked to and from school as a 5yr old. We only lived bout 3 blocks away. Town of 5000 at that time.

Literally no joke. When I was 5 in the 70's I was walking to kindergarten a mile in the snow. I remember it to this day. Misery. The frickin 70's and 80's.....

Something similar happened to me in 5tj grade and my dad flipped his lid, I can't imagine if it were kindergarten please tell me it's just a skit
