Adoption is amazing and definitely worth the battle it is, but adopting isn’t just going to a store and picking a kid out, it’s extremely expensive (unfortunately) and beyond difficult. There are just so many variables to it, like you start the adoption process and the biological parent comes back into the picture (which may be great or difficult if they are a drug dealer). Or in one case of my friends trying to adopt their niece, an agency decides to subterfuge the process because they want to give the child to a gay couple…to show how progressive they are. I am 100% for adoption, but it’s not a less emotional or difficult than trying to have children and find you can’t. It’s not for the faint of heart.
