@unplannedstories: I was depressed, alone and suicidal 3 years ago. I found out my partner had cheated on me — which triggered years of unresolved trauma from surviving gang life, drugs, bullying and sexual abuse. I had no support system and wanted to end my life and my baby’s life. As I made plans to terminate my pregnancy, God intervened and covered me with peace. That gave me the strength to keep my baby. 3 years later, I’m a mom to a happy girl. I’m really thankful to God every day that she’s a blessing. Going through that season has given me a heart to serve others. So outside of being a mom, I have a business and ministry that provides meals for families, especially new moms. If you’re unexpectedly pregnant and thinking about abortion, this is my encouragement to you: “God heals the brokenhearted. If you feel lonely, call on Him and He will hear you. God had grace over me and our family. If I followed those thoughts three years ago, I don’t think I’ll have my daughter here. I’m blessed to have my daughter here despite the circumstances that me and her went through. God always protected us because I would have ended up in prison or just dead.
