@billhadersession: Had a great conversation with Dan Harris about "Anxiety, Imposter Syndrome, and Leaning into Discomfort" for Episode 2 of the tenpercenthappier non negotiables series. #mindfulness #impostersyndrome #anxiety #billhader #SaturdayNightLive
I became agoraphobic over night. It was the craziest thing. It was 20 years ago, so mental health wasn’t talked about. I thought I went actually insane. I finally went to my dr about a month later, and was put on medication. As soon as it started working, I was totally fine again, with no episodes since. Horrific experience, and I’m so thankful for the medication (Zoloft) that helped me.

Found out dehydration mimics anxiety too. Stay hydrated

Were you on Cipro? Just went through the worst mental episode of my life because I was put on an antibiotic. Wonder how many people know this can happen and how little doctors do anything about it.

I have had anxiety attacks since I was 5. Eventually became agoraphobic. With meds and therapy I can manage it. But it is always hanging over me. 🥺

Anxiety does make me feel like I have the flu so often, it sucks. But it passes once I calm down and CBT helped me get through that uncomfy feeling

Anxiety is horrific. I get dread. Sweating, tachycardia, tingling in my hands, fatigue.

That’s exactly what happened to me when I was having my first panic attack. I had no idea what was wrong with me. It’s crazy how your body responds to stress and anxiety.

For what it’s worth the first time I took Celexa it was gone the next day and everybody said it was a completely different person after that so in my case, I had the exact same effect, but it actually worked and when I don’t take Alexa, I am the person I don’t want to be

Thank you for speaking out about this. Anxiety and depression are isolating. The feeling that no one else must feel this way. And I guess I’ll always feel this way. It’s anxiety. We can all move forward .

Same. I had no idea anxiety could make you feel literally sick and crazy. And, at least for me, realizing it’s anxiety works a lot of the time. Our brains are so powerful. I’m convinced if we believe it enough, we can do almost anything.

I get concerned about my mental health often, and this reinforces my concern. I’m going to try calling it out like that, since I really don’t want to be medicated.
