Its about making the person youre listening to feel loved. I dont care about gaming but my kid gets excited to talk to me about it so I listen. Hes the AH in my opinion 🤷🏻♀️

i'm all for letting people vent. but not every day, where its got to the point that the listener has nothing to say because they've said it all before. because then you get accused of never responding. like i'm sorry i gave you advice on this exact situation 5 times already and you didn't listen then. you have to alternate, it csn't all be venting.

you can request keeping office drama at the office, you just have to approach it correctly. putting someone down and calling it boring is not the way. however saying your tired, and youd rather hear about your partners day, or whatever.

Turn it into something you do enjoy. Draw cartoons of it. Make a flowchart of the drama. Make it into a drinking game. Challenge yourself to have one random factoid to share with her for one piece of drama she shares with you. Be creative, because ultimately, she wants the person she loves most to be invested in her daily life.

My blue collar hubby often talk to me about drama on the sites, and believe me guys can be drama queens too, I don't get half of the specific vocabulary he uses but he needs to vent, so I just let him. This is what a partnership is.
