@crea8torium: How do you accidentally create one of the biggest Afrobeats songs of a generation? 😅 Legend has it that even @donjazzy’s “fun” somehow turns into a hit. 😅🐘 In this episode, Don Jazzy breaks down how “Dorobucci” came together - from the moment the idea hit him, to producing the record, to deciding which artists would be on it. Dorobucci dropped in 2014, over a decade ago, and somehow still sounds fresh today. In this special Crea8torium episode, “Mavin: The House That Sound Built,” Don Jazzy also shares the stories behind other records he has produced, and what made each one special to the artists who recorded them. You’ll also hear directly from @Ayra Starr ⭐️ and @Johnny Drille as they talk about creative collaboration within Mavin, their trust in Don Jazzy’s leadership, and how the structure at the label allows artists to feel supported, confident, and free to do their best work.
