@campingwiththeblantons: Please read the full caption before commenting 😂 These were our expenses for 3 weeks in Miami as a full-time RV family of 4… but these are NOT our total monthly living expenses. These are only Miami-specific costs. Our fixed bills like RV payment, truck payment, insurance, internet, etc., are separate and paid regardless of location and I include those on our monthly expenses post. Campground fees were low since we used Thousand Trails and stayed at an Encore park for $20/night. I did not include Thousand Trails dues because that’s not Miami-specific. Shopping included normal life items… Target runs, kids’ shoes, grilling supplies for our Big Green Egg, and everyday family needs. Groceries are typical for us. We buy mostly organic, shop at places like Whole Foods and Sprouts often, and cook from scratch. Also… not all groceries are consumed during the trip, so some carry into the next stop 😂 Yes, we ate out… Miami has incredible food and we also spent time with close friends there and ate with them alot. Out of ~60 meals, we ate out about 10 times, so most meals were still at home. We enjoy trying local restaurants as a family, just like others may prioritize different experiences. We typically tip 20–30% and like supporting local businesses. Parking in Miami adds up fast 😂 One garage was $30, another $18… pretty normal for the city. Entertainment included the children’s museum and the circus, which were great experiences for the kids. Fuel: we have a diesel truck and an SUV. The truck was only used on our travel day to and from Miami. All gas listed is just SUV driving while there. At the end of the day… these are simply OUR expenses. RV life can be done cheaper or much more expensive depending on choices. I share this because people ask what real travel costs look like for a full-time RV family… not to say this is how everyone should spend.
