If I woke up carrying extra weight around my midsection, here’s exactly what I’d do to turn it around. First, groceries. I’d stock my kitchen with food that helps me stay lean, recover well, and feel sharp every day. That means grass-fed steak, chicken, salmon, whole eggs and egg whites, fat-free cottage cheese and Greek yogurt, whey protein, low-fat milk, carrots, broccoli, dark chocolate, and plenty of fruit like berries, bananas, and kiwis. Next, training. I’d lift weights four times a week—two upper-body days and two lower. Upper-body would include presses, rows, pull-ups, and arms. Lower-body would cover squats, deadlifts, split squats, extensions, curls, and calves. I’d also walk 10K steps a day and do one hard conditioning session per week. My routine would be locked in. I’d start my mornings with movement, drink plenty of water, cut out alcohol, sleep on a consistent schedule, fast until midday, and keep healthy meals prepped and ready. I’d weigh in weekly, stop eating by 8 PM, and track every lift in the gym. Most importantly, I’d remind myself daily why I’m doing this. I know how much better I feel when I’m in shape. I wouldn’t aim for perfection—just 90% clean choices and 10% flexibility. If I slip up, I get back on track. No guilt. No quitting. Just consistency and discipline. Progress isn’t linear, but it always comes if you stay with it. What are you committing to over the next 12 weeks? #BuiltOverTime #BobbyG #YoureNeverTooOld #DailyDisciplines #Over40Fitness #NoExcusesJustWork #LiveWithIntention #StayReady #TrainForLife
