@bigasian_fit: If you want to feel Bulgarian split squats more in your glutes then lean your torso slightly forward and keep most of your weight on the front heel. Don’t push off the back leg too much. The front leg should be doing most of the work. Otherwise you just wasting your time with incorrect form or getting closure to the injury which might slow you down on your way to getting in shape. I use to do this and cop a lot of knee pain. After seeing a physio, turns out if you have longer legs, you actually have to go out a little more then this
