They’ll save superannuation taxes for the next budget, can’t ruin us all in one budget

the government will come after super one day you can count on it - once you put into super you have zero control and can't take out until retirement- then what happens if you pass before retirement? im sure they'll tax higher before paying out any beneficiaries- they need more money from somewhere 🤔

How can you recommend any type of investment strategy. Nothing is safe. They just take money and change rules as they go. We are basically a communist state.

Can you still reduce your CGT by depositing $300k into your super when you’re downsizing?

The 30% minimum CG tax hurts the most. It feels worse for anyone investing in shares and earning under $135k.

Could you please do a video explaining the tax on family trusts? Do you get a credit for the 30% tax paid when the money from a trust becomes income that you pay income tax on?

Super indeed. Essentially forcing people to have enough for their retirement. But it doesn’t prevent PPOR flipping every few years

Well, they have just put through the Div296 superannuation tax, so they probably couldn't do anything further.....at this stage

they say they won't touch super now so everyone changes their strategy to increase the value of their super. then wham, the government will tax it heavily. and once the money is in super, there is no way to move it back out again. unless you're at retirement age.
