@America: Michael Jackson's 1993 tour in israel changed the course of his life. After he witnessed the suffering of Palestinians, he decided to start advocating for human rights. A lot of people don't realize how odd the following timeline is.
September 1993: During his stay in israel, he wrote "Palestine, Don't Cry." He wanted to add it to his album, but was forced to remove it from the track list.
August 1993: Literally as soon as he got back, Evan Chandler, who happens to be Jewish, accused him of abusing his son. However, there was no evidence and MJ was acquitted of all charges.
1995: He wrote "They Don't Care About Us," which contained controversial lyrics about zionists, and he was criticized and accused of antisemitism. He was forced to change the lyrics.
Early 2000s: He took his battle with Sony public and went hard fighting for ownership of his art. He said the CEO, Tommy Mottola, who also happens to be Jewish, was purposely sabotaging his music to lower the value.
2005: Rabbi Shmuley was entrenched in his life, posing as a "spiritual advisor" despite Michael Jackson referring to him as an "enemy" on his "enemies list." Strangely, MJ was seen in public with a red Kabbalah string on his wrist, a symbol often associated with Jewish mysticism. At this point, he was known to refer to the Sony executives as “leeches," which drew more criticism of antisemitism.
June 24 2009: In his last phone call with radio host Dieter Wiesner, he said a “group of people" who were "more than the government" wanted to get rid of him. He even specifically theorized that they could frame his death as an overdose.
June 25 2009: Literally the day after this phone call, he died of a lethal overdose of propofol. His doctor, Conrad Murray, who was only his personal doctor for 6 weeks, was charged with manslaughter.
