Nickeela Lucas :
I lost my son almost 13 years ago, after only living a month… it still feels like yesterday. As moms we figure out how to mask our pain, to help everyone else get through the loss. It’s absolutely okay to cry, and eventually you’ll cry less and less. Your baby wouldn’t want mommy to be sad. This world is so bad, and I take comfort in knowing that my son is already where I want to be. He’s safe. I was bitter with God for years, because I’ve never prayed so hard in my entire life for anything, than my son remaining here with me. I didn’t want to see or hear other babies…I wanted to be locked in my room, away from reality. I made it through those dark days, and you can too love. It takes time. Cry when you need to, and don’t let anyone ever make you feel like it isn’t right to do, or you should get over it. I’m so glad you got to hear your baby’s laughter, sing her to sleep, run around and play with her, and take videos of her. I only have a few pictures of my son. I’m praying for your heart l, and that healing comes sooner than later 💜
