brakes last way longer than 40k wtf. My wifes f150 has 105k still on original brakes. Plus a hybrid will go way longer, my 2014 cmax has 255k on original brakes. Even my f350 that is only used for towing a toy hauler got at least 70k out of the last set of pads.

Filters and brake pads are irrelevant to the mileage. You need to change them depending where you drive and how you drive.

For me the golden rule is spark plugs every 3 oil changes at least take out, measure and adjust, after 5 replace. And I'm doing the 5000 miles oil changes. Filters every god damn year, fuel consumption and avoidance of repairs will subtract the investment. Cooling fluid and brake fluid every 3 years

modern fully synthetic engine oils can easily go 10k between changes. 5k is a waste of money to us and more for you
