I always suspected i had it, but I didn't fit all of the criteria. ive always had excess body hair, ive had insulin resistance since I had gestational diabetes, ive gained weight in spite of a consistent diet and exercise, and ive developed sleep apnea.

I have PCOS, my A1C is on the very low end of high and my glucose is never above 100. I am not considered type 2 and metformin made me sick. Ideas?

I’m 58 so was I just too old to get diagnosed with this? They took an ovary at a time (oophorectomy) because of the cysts and ruptures, my face and body acne lasted till my last ovary came out but I never got hairy. I went from super skinny to to being overweight now, hypothyroidism.

A genetic testing would help a lot of our future generations, like my younger nieces. PCOS runs on both side of my family.
