@ggerbasi: spent the morning at Spanish River Park with @4ocean and @Oceanfoam helping clean plastic and debris out of the beach and mangroves 🌊♻️ in just a few hours, we filled our bags with over 90 lbs of trash collected from the shoreline and tangled in the mangroves. it’s easy to forget how important mangroves are until you’re standing inside them pulling out plastic bottle caps, fishing line, wrappers, and debris that never should’ve ended up there in the first place. these ecosystems protect our coastlines, filter water, and provide habitat for so much marine life. that’s why organizations like 4ocean matter. their mission is focused on actively removing plastic waste from oceans, rivers, and coastlines while raising awareness about the impact pollution has on marine ecosystems around the world. cleanups may not solve everything overnight, but every piece removed is one less piece harming wildlife or breaking down into microplastics in our ocean. beach cleanup, mangrove cleanup, ocean conservation, ocean plastic, 4ocean, oceanfoam, plastic pollution, marine conservation, protect the ocean, coastal cleanup #4ocean #oceanconservation #beachcleanup #protecttheocean #oceanplastic
