Wife and I retired 2 yrs ago. For me immediately I no longer had “Sunday stomach” that anxiety of having to “go back to work tomorrow “. Every day is now like a weekend to me. Sometimes I don’t even know what day it is except for seeing neighbors dragging garbage cans to the curb and the yard guys show up Thursday morning.

55 and would be done in a second if I could. My dad was dead 36 hours after he retired, I am out at 62 on the nose and will never think of work again.

sounds like you were management or supervision. my retired friend who did work in that capacity, took their jobs home with them every day, and were so relieved when they did check out from their jobs.

💯❤️How you mention stress and peace. This is a main focus of ours. Stress is a leading cause of disease and death. Mental health is key. Wellness actives like breathwork and meditation are great too.
