I graduated in 2018 with under $10k in debt and bought a car for graduation for $16k...guess which one I paid off a year ago..My car. Student loans barely have a dent even though I was paying the same monthly amount for both.

My 14 year old plans to go to med school. She is getting trade cert in hs. When her teachers found out her trade is not her planned career they asked why she was doing it and she shared so she could pay for college. These teachers said “that’s what loans are for” and my girl said “I’m not taking predatory loans so that I owe the government til I die” and give never been more proud that she listens to everything I say 😂
