Make me the head of dot and these are my changes. 1. Trucks shouldn't be able to 300 miles unless special occasions (a train system that carries the load a long distance then trucks just carry it to the destination. 2. Reduce the lanes of town and cities to 2 maximum (excluding turn lanes) and the speed to 40 mph and 20 in residential cities. Major traffic calming measures would be implemented. 3. Active speedbump system that raises 4 seconds after red-lights. 4. Remove many smaller stop light intersections for roundabouts. 5. Enforcement of passing lanes (trucks should stay in the right most lane)(criminalise being in the left most lane and not passing for 20 or more seconds when the other lanes are blocked) 6. Much stronger public transport: Bus lanes Trains more frequent service (start in larger cities then smaller) 7. Vehicles over 6000 lbs should require a commercial drivers license or >5000lbs and visibility infront of bumper of 3 meters 8. All vehicles must be able to pass the moose test at 42 MPH 9. vehicles under 25k have emission standards from 2010 10. A pedestrian safety crash test (car hits a dummy) 11 vehicles should be able to come to a stop from 60 mph within 130ft. 12 a Police officer with breathalysers outside of bars at nights to reduce duis.
