I probably would have checked rest of the system maybe it wont get down to temp because of an airflow issue or low refrigeration? I understand your point but sometimes we miss things looking for the easy solution

I've seen that before from someone installing at 115v on an air handler... it was me, i fucked up and did that. burnt that motor up too 🤷♂️but now i know lol
