can also use vlookup for all of it.just adjust the col_index_num to from 2 to 3 for the dept, 4 for the salary 😁

VLOOK needs the EmpID in numerical order… XLOOKUP doesn’t… interested to understand whether there’s an advantage to use INDEX/MATCH over XLOOKUP - is the latter not reliable for big data?
