@realmaggiesterling: Lack of consistency is a major sign that the nervous system is at play. When symptoms come and go or change in different parts of the body and different intensity and frequency and time of day that is a huge signal that the nervous system is sensitized.
Oh my gosh I never realized this until now! This happened to me too!

That’s the immune system also. It attacks the threat, instead of your healthy tissue

This is crazy. I have pretty much daily panic attacks but when I’m actually sick, my panic attacks just magically go away. Of course, they return after I’m better. 😩

Me when I go on holiday, my nervous system is distracted and I feel no muscular pain. As soon as I’m back to base…. aches and pains everyday 😔

This is so interesting. Before developing nervous system sensitization about two years ago, I used to get severe tonsillitis almost every month and often had bacterial throat infections with high fever. Since all of this started, I haven’t had a single episode of tonsillitis or throat infection. It’s like my body shifted its focus completely🤯

Being sick is the universe telling you to get some rest. Your symptoms went away because you removed their audience, and you have no choice but to rest and get better. Additionally, being sick is your temporary reality while your anxiety takes a temporarysecond place.

Honestly, I felt like the nervous system actually has a little mercy in its heart 🤣, like it just lets the sickness do its thing and enjoy the party without interrupting.

Oh my gosh! I never pieced that together. I had a horrific case of Covid in April, and I genuinely felt so much better mid-infection than the weeks after. I thought I was losing my mind.

Yes this! I also think this to be true with people who feel better during pregnancy.

This happens to me whenever I’m on my period. Suddenly the nervous system related symptoms are less severe to the point I forget about them, until my period ends and then they reappear. It’s crazy
