My boys are 20 and 22 years old but I still remember the slight weight of them in my arms at babies and all the sweet little people they’ve been.

I was completely devastated with each of my five babies every time they hit a new milestone. I was so excited for them and at the same time it was taking them one step further away from being small. My oldest is 22 now and my youngest is 15. I absolutely grieve their baby, toddler, and childhoods. And of course at the same time I’m so excited to see what they will do in life. It’s a very strange paradox.

No one told me before i had kids that birthdays would be so sad. It really is so hard. How can you miss them being so tiny so much but at the same time just love their new stage of life. My daughters 8th birthday is in 2 days and I CAN NOT believe it

I’ve got a nearly 3 year old and a 6 month old and this is me completely! I can’t get over how fast it goes and they change so much and I honestly can’t deal with it either 🥹

this is me. we tried first long to have kids and we finally have two (after decades) but im devastated we can't have more. I dont feel ready to let go of the baby days but I've no choice 😭 theyre 2 & 4. I desperately tried for one more but im too old. Just enjoy the fact you've so long with them. we're already in our 40s so time is limited 😭 quality time together anyway 💔

Our children always want us even when old , ours our 33,31 & 26 still want you for advice, support. Plus grandchildren are the gift of them getting older ,have 4 grandchildren & one on the way. Enjoying these times as well ,see my children be parents. ❤️❤️

Mine are 13 and 9 and I’m sad everyday, especially when the memories come up on my phone. I remember specific, uneventful days which were full of little things that brought such joy. I cry most of the week.

I’m also not ready for weaning my girl (4.5 months) but this time I’m dreading it just because third time round I am just NOT excited for the mess 😂. Also fairly certain she will have allergies so would just like to politely decline her getting to that stage because I’m scared lol…

My daughter is only 7 months old and at least twice a day I cry that she’s getting older. I tell her all the time to stop growing up but then my anxiety makes me tell her that I don’t mean literally stop growing up😅

Growing up is sad but your relationship with them changes we have date days shopping trips meals out you still do things with them but just not a whole day out oldest is 18 youngest is 2 so best of both worlds currently but you value any times with them
