You can actually play chess on Duolingo, and you can even receive a daily quest requiring you to win a match. And every now and then, you run into cheaters. I recently encountered one who was so blatantly obvious that it was truly frustrating to realize there is no way to report such players on Duolingo. Every single move took exactly eight seconds—whether it was recapturing a traded queen, moving the king to the only available square, or making an absurd piece sacrifice whose purpose only became clear to me three moves later. Always eight seconds per move. I have to admit, I was genuinely annoyed that there is no way to communicate with your opponent or file a complaint anywhere. I did send an email to Duolingo, but naturally, that didn't accomplish anything at all.
