@dr_michelle_karth_phd: Why do neurodivergent people feel a “second wind” at night? If you have ADHD or Autism Spectrum Disorder, that late-night energy isn’t random—it’s biology. Many neurodivergent brains have a delayed circadian rhythm, meaning sleep signals (like melatonin) arrive later. Add in dopamine differences, fewer distractions, and reduced sensory + social demands, and the brain can finally reach a state where focus and clarity are possible. At night, everything shifts: less noise less pressure less masking So your nervous system isn’t overloaded—and your brain can “come online.” It’s not procrastination. It’s timing. #adhd #autism #neurodivergent #circadianrhythm #sleep
My morning-person boss never understood me. I often did my best work after midnight, many times going to bed near dawn. 🤔
