No way the groups that profited from both the housing crisis and had incredibly generous tax breaks are against a policy that will slightly reduce both are upset. I’m truly shocked.

The younger generation, can no longer get ahead using the same tools others have. Younger people now have to get used to the fact that if they try to get ahead they will get tax back to being poor. Buying a home to live in a trap.

They are a socialist government. They don't want a nation of entrepreneurs and investors. They want a nation reliant on the government. Please educate young people on just how bad this budget is for them and their personal wealth aspirations.

The balance they managed to achieve with the grandfathering & continued negative gearing on new builds is impressive. Although the grandfathering is needed as I don't agree with retrospective laws it's a pity that so many people have considered it appropriate to make money off people's homes which caused home prices to increase much faster than incomes which made them money which has caused a housing affordability crisis. It's evil & I have no time for these property investors. I denounce them. There have always been ways to make money that are positive for society. It's a choice to be a good citizen. I have focussed on businesses that provide services people actually need & commercial real estate which also allows businesses to provide services citizens need. Anyone who has "invested" in a home is simply a bad person. A scourge on society. I encourage such people to wake up to take responsibility & sell at a reasonable cost via private sale to ensure it's bought by people to live in. Redemption is possible. Admit you've come to a realisation just as this Labor government has admitted & do the right thing.
