This reminds me of a story I hear once. When RadioShack was going out of business, employees decided to just lie and say they were managers or shift leads or better positions than what they had and since the company went out of business, there was no one to call and confirm this info

I lied about my skills in my first professional job which is literally a statistician role for medical research,which I was basically high school level. I actually got the job and had to learn statistical analyses and the software(SASS) over a weekend. over my short 3 yr working for the research doctor, I co-authored 5 papers and my boss thought I was an expert. don't be afraid of lying kids, just make sure you follow through your lies 😂
