I've given up on loving you, not because i was too weak to hold it, but because every time I opened my heart someone taught me how painful honesty and loyalty can be, i got tired of almost of people saying forever with fingers crossed behind their backs, tired of loving deeply and being loved only when it was convenient, so I stopped searching, stopped believing that someone could look at me and stay, Then you arrived so naturally, like peace sneaking through a broken window and some how you made my guarded heart feel safe enough to breath again, you didn't promise me a perfect life, you didn't speak like those people who love loudly, disappear quietly instead you stayed in the little moments, the random conversations, the checking up on me. The way you noticed sadness in my voice even when I said i'm fine and may be that's when I realised real love isn't always fireworks, sometimes its simply finding someone who chooses you gently every single day now i look at you and no longer pray for a perfect person i just pray life never takes away the one person who made me believe love can still feel real 😉❣️
