absolutely use a junction box and that won't be a problem but just remember to upgrade your breaker if it's not rated high enough for the septic tank but the wire you have is the perfect size to do it. I'm glad my comment helped because I'd hate for anyone to tear out walls or ceilings when they don't need to.
